Description

The Mitutoyo 123-112 is a manual disc micrometer with a 275–300 mm measuring range, hardened steel disks, and 0.01 mm graduation. It is designed for measuring the root tangent length of spur and helical gears and other hard-to-reach features.

Key features

• Disc-shaped measuring faces: The spindle and anvil are fitted with hardened steel discs with a 30 mm diameter. This design allows the micrometer to measure "shrouded features," such as the root tangent length of spur and helical gears.
  
• Narrow measuring edges: The discs feature a thin edge, 1 mm thick on models over 100 mm, to enter narrow recesses and spaces that a standard micrometer cannot reach.
• Ratchet stop mechanism: This feature applies a constant and uniform measuring force to the workpiece, which helps ensure precise and repeatable measurements. It also helps prevent the user from applying too much pressure.
• Spindle lock: The micrometer includes a spindle lock to secure the measurement once taken, preventing any accidental movement while reading the scale.
• High precision: It offers a high degree of accuracy with a maximum permissible error of \(\pm 9\mu m\) and a parallelism of \(9\mu m\) over its range.
